Oktoberfest Volunteer Opportunities

Get involved with MWR's largest annual special event from September 25 - 28, 2025! Individuals 18 years and older may volunteer at the Oktoberfest. Various dates, times and positions are available. 

Please note: All volunteers and staff are subject to change of position based on event support needs and requirements.

Volunteer Position Descriptions

Beer Pourer

Responsible for pouring beer and wine at the beer station. Beer pourers will only serve beer from .5 liter cup and pitchers. NO MUGS will be filled directly from the taps under any circumstance. ZERO tolerance on anyone found drinking, tasting, or giving away free beer. 

Beer Server

Responsible for taking beer tickets from patrons, tearing tickets, discarding tickets and serving the customer pre‐filled beer or wine as requested. ZERO tolerance on anyone found drinking, tasting, or giving away free beer.

Golf Cart Driver 

Responsible for picking up patrons needing support to get to the entrance of the fest site. Must have driver’s license and experience driving a golf cart.

Silent Disco Support

Responsible for cleaning and issuing equipment. Provide support to the DJ as needed.

Patron Entrance 

Responsible for manning patron entrance, greeting patrons as they enter, assisting MPs with bag checks, and clicking the counter at designated entrance. Volunteers must be at each entrance NLT 1 hour prior to the opening time of each day.

Carnival Military Appreciation ID Card Check

Responsible for verifying ACTIVE DUTY Military ID cards on Military Appreciation Day only. Will be placed by a carnival booth in front of the line.
