Choosing the Right Care for Your Child

Military Families can get safe, flexible, high quality child care to fit their needs. Whether you want full-time care, part-time supervision, or occasional hourly care, we have programs designed for children of all ages. 

 

Types of Child Care Available 

Full-Time and Part-Time Care 

  • Child Development Centers (CDC). Full-day and part-day care for children 6 weeks to 5 years old in a structured, nurturing environment, with Kids on Site (ages 0-3) and Strong Beginnings Pre-K (ages 4-5) also available
  • Family Child Care (FCC). Small-group care in certified, on-post homes for children 6 weeks to 12 years old, offering flexible hours and sibling care
  • School Age Centers (SAC). Before- and after-school programs for kindergarten through 5th grade, including homework help, activities, and supervised play

Hourly and Short-Term Care 

  • Hourly Care. Flexible, short-term care for children while parents attend appointments or events
  • Kids on Site (KOS). On-demand child care for parents at the location of their on-post meetings or events
  • Parents on Site. Parent-led co-op programs providing supervised playgroups and babysitting services

Before- and After-School Care

  • Before- and After-School Programs. Supervised care for elementary school children, including homework time, sports, and arts
  • Middle and High School Programs. Open recreation, leadership activities, and enrichment programs for teens
  • Youth Centers. Middle school and teen programs in Youth Centers, as well as team and individual sports offerings, clinics, and camps
