October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. This month, Army Community Service (ACS) is offering the workshops and activities listed below. Domestic violence does not discriminate against anyone, especially not against our Military and their Families! Join the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) in combating domestic violence in the Fort Belvoir Community.

Empower Hour - Domestic Violence Awareness Social Hour

Gather with us at our domestic violence awareness social hour, where we aim to foster community support and awareness while honoring the strength of survivors.

Break the Silence Against Domestic Violence - Free Beginner Boxing and Self-Defense Class

Put on your boxing gloves, we’re breaking the silence against domestic violence during this free beginner class.

Wings of Hope - Domestic Violence Awareness Luncheon
October 9 | 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Fort Belvoir Golf Club (8450 Beulah St., BLDG 2920)
This luncheon includes a dove release to honor victims of domestic violence.

Kick Off Against Abuse Powder Puff Game
October 17 | 6 - 8 p.m. | Pullen Field (9637 Belvoir Rd.)
Participate in our annual flag football game to bring attention to the issue of domestic violence. In this version of football, women register to play and men register to be cheerleaders! You must be 18+ to participate.

Love Talks

During this virtual class, couples will focus on enhancing their relationship dynamics through effective dialogue and active listening techniques.
