Intramural Sports

Sports and Fitness offers intramural sports tournaments. Intramural competition supports mission readiness, esprit de corps at Fort Belvoir and promotes a healthy lifestyle. Leagues are open to Active Duty Military Personnel, DoW Civilians, Family members and Contractors who are attached or assigned to Fort Belvoir through their unit or organization. DoW Civilians and Contractors who are assigned to a unit may play on their unit’s team; however, they must pay an entry fee. Organizations may form their own teams. Active Duty Military teams will have priority if a maximum number of teams is reached. Men and women can play together on teams. 

Intramural Volleyball League

All teams will play by 2026 USVB rules and Local Military By-Laws.  Teams must have a minimum of 6 players and a maximum of 12 players with 1 designated coach. Players must be 18 years or older and have a valid form of identification.

2026 League Dates | 6 - 8 p.m.

Games/matches are held on Monday and Wednesday. The schedule below is tentative and subject to change depending on participation levels. Teams will receive a final schedule before the first game.

Cost

Active Duty: Free
DoD Civilian/Contractor:

  • $35 per person (up to 5 players per team)
  • $150 per team (6 or more players per team)

Payments must be made by credit card at Graves Fitness Center or Specker Human Performance Center no later than April 1 at 5 p.m.

Registration

The coach of each unit or organization must email a Letter of Intent to the Tournament Director to register their team. Only 1 Letter of Intent is required per team. The coach, manager or coordinator from each team must attend the coaches’ meeting.
Free Agency: Individual players must attend the coaches’ meeting to be placed on a team. It is preferred for players to form their own team; however, placement will be per team discretion.

Intramural Softball League

All teams will play by male Amateur Softball Association (ASA) rules. Teams must have a minimum of 9 players and a maximum of 14 players with 1 designated coach.


2026 Tournament Dates | 6 - 8 p.m.

Games are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays and are based on 10 teams or 19 games. The schedule below is tentative and subject to change depending on participation levels and weather. Teams will receive a final schedule before the first game.
