Virtual Gingerbread House Contest

During the holiday season, baking and decorating go hand-in-hand. Challenge yourself and enter the Virtual Gingerbread House Contest.

The contest is open to all ages.

Submissions will be judged in the following categories: 

Adult Category - 18+ entering as a single entrant or team.
Teen Category - 13 - 17 years of age entering as a single entrant or team.
Youth Category - 9 - 12 years of age entering as a single entrant or team.
Child Category - 8 and under entering as a single entrant or team.

Contest Rules 

• Contest is open to DFMWR authorized users and Fort Belvoir residents of ALL ages. 
• Prizes must be claimed in person and will not be mailed.
• All entries must be pictured with name and age placard next to gingerbread house to authenticate. 
• Participants under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent/legal guardian. 
• You may only submit one entry per contest, per individual or team. 
• All gingerbread houses must be 100% edible including candy, embellishments and materials, used except for lights used in the house. 
• Houses must fit within a 24-inch x 24-inch space.  
• No artificial interior materials such as Styrofoam or wood may be used to support the gingerbread structure.

Winners will be determined by MWR judges in each category and will be announced on the Fort Belvoir MWR Facebook page and on the Facebook Event page. 

By entering, parents grant permission for their child to participate in this Contest, and grant permission and consent to Fort Belvoir Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) for the use of the photograph submitted for presentation under any legal condition, including but not limited to: this contest, publicity, copyright purposes, illustration, advertising and web content.
