Have a dog that acts more like a fish? Join the Aquatics Program for a tail-wagging time to close out the summer pool season. This event is for our four-legged friends but fun for the whole family! Even if your dog doesn’t enjoy swimming, there’s room for them to run around the grassy area, pool deck and just have a great time socializing. Dog life jackets are highly encouraged.

Eligibility:  Active Duty (including Guard and Reserve), Retirees, DoW Civilian Employees, eligible contractors, and all dependents. Each eligible ID card holder is permitted to bring one guest.

Rules:

• All dogs must be currently on active flea, tick and heartworm prevention. 

• All dogs must be fully up to date on all required vaccinations: Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. 

• Only dogs are allowed in the pool. Absolutely NO children or adults are allowed in the pool at any time.

• Dogs showing any signs of aggressive or potentially aggressive behavior or who are seen disturbing other dogs or patrons will be asked to leave.

• All dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the pool area. Please close all gates behind you.

• All dogs must be healthy and free of contagious diseases and parasites.

• Never leave dogs unattended.

• Dogs must be in view of and within voice control of their owners at all times. Dog owners are responsible for picking up and disposing of all their dog’s waste.

• Dogs in heat are prohibited.

• Dogs less than 4 months old are prohibited.

• All dogs must be under the control of an adult and there is a maximum limit of 2 dogs per adult in the pool area at any time.

• The pool area has a maximum capacity of 200 occupants. If the capacity is reached, patrons will be instructed to wait until others have left the area.
