Outdoor Recreation (ODR) is a one-stop shop for all outdoor adventure enthusiasts. Adventure Programs offers a variety of activities including hiking, kayaking, and paddle boarding.  If you’re ready to explore the great outdoors, join the adventure!

Departure location: Outdoor Recreation

Itinerary:

9 a.m. | Check in, equipment draw and safety check
9:15 a.m. | Dryland discussion

  • Paddle strokes
  • Maneuvers
  • Safety and rescue

9:30 a.m. 

  • Group shallow water review
    • Paddle strokes
    • Maneuvers
    • Wet-exit and recovery (Solo and buddy)

Shallow water training will be provided based on skill level.

  • Wet-exit and recovery training

10 a.m. - 12 p.m. | Group paddle

(Group may be divided by skill and comfort level)


Eligibility: Active Duty Military, DoD Civilians, Retirees and Family Members


Registration required!

Cost

$15 per person.

Includes:

  • Kayak
  • Personal flotation device (PFD)
