Think you’ve got the sweetest skills on post? Join the holiday fun in our Gingerbread House Contest, where frosting is your mortar and imagination is your blueprint. Prizes, bragging rights and sweet memories await!
The contest is open to all ages.
Drop-off period | November 24 - December 12
Voting period | December 15 - 19
Contest Rules
- Contest is open to MWR patrons and Fort Belvoir residents of ALL ages.
- Prizes must be claimed in person and will not be mailed.
- One entry per person.
- All gingerbread houses must be 100% edible including candy, embellishments and materials, used except for lights used in the house.
- Houses must fit within a 18-inch x 18-inch space.
- No artificial interior materials such as Styrofoam or wood may be used to support the gingerbread structure.
- Winners will be determined by Family and MWR Patrons!

Registration Information
Complete an entry form and turn it in when you drop off your gingerbread house.
By entering, parents grant permission for their child to participate in this Contest, and grant permission and consent to Fort Belvoir Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) for the use of the photograph submitted for presentation under any legal condition, including but not limited to: this contest, publicity, copyright purposes, illustration, advertising and web content.
