Fort Belvoir Sports and Fitness is searching for top-notch softball players and coaches to compete in the prestigious Battle of the Bases Soft Ball Tournament! Get ready to hit it out of the park. The annual Battle of the Bases Softball Tournament, hosted by the Washington Nationals, brings together the best teams from military bases across the National Capital Region. Players will wear Nationals-branded jerseys and caps, with the championship game held at Nationals Park in D.C. This is your chance to showcase your skills and represent your Fort Belvoir on a major league stage.

Tryout Requirements:

  • Must be an Active Duty Military member and assigned or attached to Fort Belvoir.
  • Must have your own gloves and shoes.
  • Must be available for all games:
    • Preliminary tournament
      • August, dates TBD
      • Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling
    • Championship games
      • September, dates TBD
      • Nationals Park
