Get involved with Better Opportunities for Single Service Members (BOSS)

Join the BOSS team every first and third Wednesday to explore ways to support Single Service Members stationed at Fort Belvoir through fun and engaging activities and improvements in their daily lives. Each meeting focuses on four main areas: Quality of Life, Community Service, Recreation and Leisure and Life Skills. A representative from each unit is asked to attend.

Discussion Points

  • Quality of Life: Issues that Single Service Members can directly or indirectly influence to enhance their morale, living environment, or personal growth and development
  • Recreation and Leisure: Activities geared towards the desires of the Service Members stationed at Fort Belvoir
  • Community Service: Opportunities to engage with and support the local community
  • Life Skills: Programs designed to educate, license or certify Service Members in a wide variety of abilities for adaptive and positive behavior leading to lifelong tangible and intangible learning outcomes.

Eligibility: Single Service Members (Active Duty, Guard and Reserve; single parents, geographical bachelors, all members of US Military Service Branches and Foreign Service assigned to the installation)
