Pedal your way to glory in the 2024 Army Outdoor Recreation Cycling Challenge! Family and MWR challenges cyclists to ride 1000 km (621 mi) between May 1 and August 31. This distance must be covered outdoors on roads and trails. Participants are responsible for their own equipment, distance tracking, and record keeping. We highly encourage the use of electronic tracking devices.
Only traditional road, mountain and city/commuter bikes will be considered for this challenge.
Complete the full 1000 km (621 mi) to receive an awesome cycling jersey! Winners report back to Outdoor Recreation beginning September 1 to receive your jersey.
This challenge is designed for adults. However, youth can participate and should expect to receive an adult-sized cycling jersey upon challenge completion.
Cost
$50 per person
Registration Information
Registration is open April 15 - May 1.
To register, select “Register” below or visit the Outdoor Recreation Center.
If you register after May 1, you can track your miles from the date of registration through the end of the challenge. No backdating of previous rides will be accepted.
