The novel coronavirus outbreak is evolving on a daily basis. Family and MWR is working with USAG Fort Belvoir leadership to determine how the latest information affects Family and MWR facilities and events. This will result in cancellations of some events, as well a changes to programs and services.

Sports and Fitness

If conditions in the Fort Belvoir area warrant a change to the HPCON, Fitness Center patronage on Fort Belvoir will return to Active Duty and First Responders only. If or when this change occurs we will message this via social media platforms and signage at the facility. We want to ensure the entire community that the safety of our staff and patrons are our top priority.

  • Effective Monday, Feb. 14:  Graves Fitness Center is open to all eligible users.
  • Effective Wednesday, July 18, 2020: Tennis courts are open for one-on-one play only. Note: Families living in the same household may play doubles.
  • Effective Monday, Mar. 16, 2020: Wells Field House will close until further notice.
  • Effective Monday, Feb. 14: Specker Human Performance Center (SHPC) is open to all eligible users.
  • Effective Friday, Mar. 13, 2020: Intramural Volleyball is cancelled until further notice.
Social and Dining
  • Effective Monday, Sept. 20: The Bowling Center is closed until further notice.
  • Effective Monday, Feb. 14: Niblick's Clubhouse Grill and Bar are open for dine-in. MAXIMUM capacity is 50%.
  • Effective Friday, Aug. 13: The Officers' Club is closed until further notice.
  • Effective Monday, Mar. 23, 2020: INSCOM Eatery (Terabytes) is closed until further notice.
  • Effective Monday, Oct. 20: The Vortex Grill is closed until further notice.
  • Effective Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021: Bozzeli's is closed indefinitely.
Child and Youth Services

Effective Wednesday, June 24, 2020: All operations are open with limit services. CDCs and SAC services will only be provided to Mission Essential personnel.

Library
  • Effective Wednesday, May 11: The computer lab is open.

  • Effective Monday, Jan. 3, 2022: Hours of operation have changed and some programs have been cancelled or modified.

  • Effective Tuesday, Oct. 12: The Library resumed operations at the Sosa Building, 9800 Belvoir Rd., Bldg. 200. The computer lab is closed for maintenance.
  • The Book drop is open.
Community Center
  • Effective Tuesday, Oct. 5: The Community Center and Leisure Travel Services (LTS) are open Tuesday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Events are cancelled until further notice. 
  • Effective Tuesday, Aug. 3: The Community Center is now offering classes. Learn more.
  • Effective Tuesday, June 15: The Community Center is accepting equipment rental requests. Learn more.
  • Effective Tuesday, June 15: The Community Center is accepting reservations. Learn more.
  • Effective Tuesday, July 31, 2020: The travel office is open to book travel for this year and 2021 via phone and email. In-person service is not available until further notice.
  • Effective Tuesday, November 30, 2021: Bozzeli's is closed indefinitely.
Outdoor Recreation
  • Effective Tuesday, June 30, 2020: Outdoor Recreation, located at Tompkins Basin has now begun accepting reservations for Travel Camp, Castle Park, Soldier Statesmen Park, Anderson Park, limited equipment rentals and individual small pavilions.  Reservations may have up to 50 people at parks and 15 people at pavilions.  For reservations please call Outdoor Recreation at +1 (703)805-3081Learn more.
  • Effective Wednesday, July 1, 2020: Outdoor Recreation is open for curbside pick-up only.
  • Effective Monday, July 6, 2020: Parks, pavilions and facilities are open for use. Outdoor Archery is open, but call-in is required to pay for a pass and sign in for target key.  Annual pass holders will still need to call and pick up key to targets. Maximum two targets. Indoor archery range will remain closed until further notice. For reservations please call Outdoor Recreation at +1 (703)805-3081. Please remember to practice social distancing and wear your face coverings within 6 feet.
Aquatics

Effective Saturday, May 28: Connolly Pool Complex is open on select days. learn more

Effective Friday, Sept. 18, 2020:  North Post pool is closed until further notice.

Effective Monday, Feb. 14: Benyaurd Indoor pool is open to Active Duty, Active Duty Family Members, DoD Civilians and Retirees with restrictions.

Golf Club

Effective Monday, Feb. 14: The Golf Club and Niblick's Clubhouse Grill and Bar are open for dine-in. MAXIMUM capacity is 50%.

Effective Tuesday, June 30, 2020: The Golf Club and Niblick’s Clubhouse Grill is open Mon - Sun, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.  Our tee time reservation system is accepting tee times. The Pro Shop has a maximum capacity of 4 people at a time.  Please plan accordingly. The Bar is closed.

Effective Tuesday, June 1: The Golf Club Bar, at Niblicks Clubhouse Grill, is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily for grab-and-go bar service.  Limited patio seating is available from 7:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Bowling

Effective Monday, Sept. 20: The Bowling Center is closed until further notice.

Marina and RV Storage

Effective Friday, June 12, 2020:  The Marina and RV Storage is open.

ACS
  • Limited virtual services.
  • Effective Monday, July 6, 2020: Army Community Service (ACS) is open Mon-Fri, 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and the first Friday of the month from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Skate Park

The Skate park is open.

Patriot Pet Care

Effective Tuesday, May 18: Patrons can pickup and drop-off their pets in the lobby.
